Active Directory : Join
Departments at the University of Illinois at Chicago may elect to join the UIC AD Forest. The following requirements are in place to ensure a successful transition into a UIC AD organizational unit.
Approval
A UIC department or college will sponsor each OU. A signed service level agreement will be required from a director level administrator within the department or college.

Documentation
OU administrators will be asked to provide documentation of their current network / OS environment before their OU is created. OU administration support from ACCC is available through the ACCC / Small Systems LAN Group, billed at an hourly rate. E-mail LAN@uic.edu for more information.
Administrator Qualifications
Department administrators should demonstrate that they are proficient in Managing and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Environment by passing Microsoft Exam 70-290 or Windows Server 2008, Server Administrator Exam 70-646.
